Treasures of the Creek

When we got to the creek (see post below) we found crawdads. Then the hunt was on... How many crawdads could we catch.. Aunt Heather, Charby, Fallon and I (Laura) had no desire to play. I think Elijah would have caught them if he understood what was going on!! Next Year!

Mini Family Reunion

We had a mini family reunion in Dahlonegha. It has been awhile since all the "Howerton"
boys have been under one roof. We had a blast!!

We went to the water park in Helen. It consisted of 4 slides.. perfect for 6 adults and 7 children!

Then we went to Aunt Carol's house to visit more cousins!! She has a creek in her back yard.
We found many treasures in the creek.

This is cousin Fallon.... She is around a year older than Charby. They got along famously.
She even spent the next week with us at our house.

Happy 2nd Birthday Charby!!

Happy Birthday to Charby.. I can't believe she is 2 today. We, of course, started the day on a sugar high.. Dunkin Donuts..

Cousin Kele suggested a butterfly cake and help me make it this morning. Charby has been saying "my bussy tate" all day long..(translation, my birthday cake") Ask her how old she is.. she will tell you.
Before heading off to the pool we had to take another look at the bussy tate.

Before the song, Everyone say cheese.. Charby is wearing her birthday princess hat. She LOVES it.

She eats her cake like a big girl, with a fork... Before she finishes she is asking for more da beans..(jelly beans). Happy Birthday my Precious little girl. I love you.

A No Haircut Summer

At the beginning of last summer, all the boys including Shelley got a crew cut. I was not that crazy about it. So I have declared this a NO HAIRCUT summer. I of course am in charge of cutting everyone's hair. I think it started because Charlotte needs a little trim, but Shelley protests... SO we will see who can hold out the longest... I will not cut the boys hair until I am "allowed" to cut Charby's hair. Shelley is already complaining about how hot he is... We will see..

The boys could not wait to meet their new cousin Elijah! He really liked Nick. Nick could make him laugh out loud. Everyone is Adorable!!

Happy 5th Birthday Luke!

Luke turned 5 May 1st!! He is crazy about soccer and requested a soccer cake. So I baked it and Shelley put it together. It turned out FABULOUS!!


They couldn't wait to dive in!

More Beach Pics - SPRING BREAK

For Spring Break we went to Boca Raton to visit my grandmother. We went with my Mom and Dad and had a fabulous time. My grandmother lives in a two bedroom condo. My boys call her Gee -Gee and they call her place "Gee Gee's hotel"








One of the highlights of the trip was going snorkeling. I don't love it, but I really loved watching Shelley and Grandfather take the boys out. The children would ride on their backs they would go out deep and when they saw something they would come out of the water.. Then you would see the little one on the back put on his gear, hold on for dear life, and go underwater to see what was there. Precious!! The most interesting find was a 6 ft stingray!! That was the end of snorkeling!
