Kennesaw BBQ

The great grandmother chaby came into to town to meet baby Landon. We took her to downtown Kennesaw to the BBQ cook off.

She enjoyed the music under the umbrella while we played.

Update on the bathroom.....

I am putting in the grout. Shelley and I used our fingers to put the grout in. Bad Idea!! When we got to the floor, the edge of the tiles cut the tops of our fingers. Determined to finish we pressed on. I ended up with two cuts, Shelley had 4 or 5. Unfortunately Shelley had a "gig" the following night. His fingers hurt so badly that he resorted using superglue over cuts instead of using Bandaids. Not ideal for a guitar player!!

New sink hardware... we researched and researched.. Widespread faucets are NOT cheap!

We are happy with the results, but we are not finished. The walls are painted, the vanity and top are in!! Shelley starts school tomorrow and hopefully he will be able to use the shower in the morning. WAHOO!! I am not sure we will remodel in the near future!!! HEHEHE

July 9..No haircut summer is OVER!

Shelley did not get a haircut... But someone at church walked by him and said, "It is nice not to have to look like a teacher in the summer." YIKES

I caved...I could not stand it any longer... I took the boys to get a hair cut.. Above is before..below is after..It is over the ears that drives me crazy the most, so I decided to show the ears in the after shot

CURRENTLY

Well we removed the shower and tub, moved the toliet drain, destroyed the vanity, put in a pocket door, put in two new shower heads..
The mess is so incredible we have moved to the extra bedroom downstairs.!!

Now we are leaving for a weeks vacation!! (MUCH NEEDED)

BEFORE

Okay so our house was built in the 1970'S and our teeny tiny master bath is still stuck in the 70's.

So since Shelley is off for the summer we decided to put a new bathroom floor in and knock out the doorway that separates the toilet and shower from the sink...

Well.... we started to demolish and went a little further then planned......
