We have Thanksgiving with family on each side. We spent a couple of nights with the Hardy's at a cabin in Blairsville. Then we drove to Sylvannia to be with the Howertons. We had a very blessed Thanksgiving. We are thankful for God, our family, our friends, and apparently gravity..(according to one of the children :))

Pumpkin Carving
It is the Tuesday night before Halloween. Our tradition is to carve our pumpkins and then watch Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. Here is the recap. This year I broke down and bought the carving tools. Since I only got one set, I carved my pumpkin before Shelley got home from work. I carved a scarecrow into my pumpkin. When Shells got home he was happy to see my pumpkin, but disappointed because carving a pumpkin is "his job". I of course, had another pumpkin to for him to carve. He is so detailed and does a great job. He and Nicholas picked out the skull and crossbones design.
Here are the pumpkins lit up.
One of the best things about being a parent is experiencing things with your children. The excitement of carving pumpkins, drinking Hot Chocolate, and watching Charlie Brown, even though they have done all these things before, you would have thought we were headed to Disney World. I love this part of being a parent. I love watching them get excited over the little things. I thank Jesus that He has given us this HUGE responsibility of celebrating life with three wonderful children.

6th picture
My Sister-In-Law challenged me on her blog to find the 6th folder in your picture file, open it and publish the 6th picture in the file. I thought this was fun.. So here goes... I found the above picture of Nicholas trying to clean his mouth.
Here is Lukey NOT trying to clean his mouth!
And baby Charby getting her mouth clean. I have no idea what they have eaten to make such a mess.
When I went to attach the files to an email so that I could post them from the laptop, I opened up the sixth picture in the attachment folder just to see. I found this picture. Mom took me to New York City for the day!!! We had so much fun. What a good memory!!
Now I challenge my blog readers to go back and post your 6th pictures!! Fun

Homecoming Part 1
This weekend is one of our busiest yet. It is Homecoming for the High School and our college homecoming. With what feels like a million more obligations sprinkled on top, we have been running from one event to another. It started Friday afternoon with the Homecoming Parade. Shelley had to be in the Parade..so we decided to go watch. I am so glad we did.
This moment alone made it worth it for me. Shelley is marching with the Science Team. Look how adorable they are!!!
Not only did the boys think it was cool to see Daddy in the parade, All the people in the parade were throwing out CANDY!!! Mental Note.. Next year bring bags to put the candy in!!
Charby is not so sure about the whole parade thing!
Nicholas and I are showing our Hoya Pride in matching shirts!

Keeping Skoda
We dog sat Skoda while my parents were out of town. Skoda loves his cage. The kids love Skoda out of the cage. Once it is time to put him back in his cage, Charby will not leave his side. She fell asleep "watching" Skoda. She got her own pillow and her blankie....
One HUGE praying manthis
We were doing yard work this morning and Shelley found a praying manthis. Check out the size of this guy.
We returned him to the bushes. Charby would not touch him, but she wanted to be as close as possible!

Cousin Landon's Dedication
We went to see baby Landon's dedication. Shelley had to play at our church that day, so I was with all three children at a new church. Of course, I had help. George, Elaissa, Mom and Dad were all there. I just didn't get a chance to take many pictures. These are the few I got at the church. Do you think anyone can sit still for more than 2 minutes?
Grandfather can!!

Fun Run
The boy's school did a fun run this year instead of selling wrapping paper. I thought this was a great idea. They were suppose to get people to donate money per lap they ran. Typical for our family, we did not do so go raising money. However, the boys had a great time with the run!!
Before the run. They announced each class as they ran through the tunnel. Nicholas was on one side which was considered the "big" track.
I couldn't keep up with both tracks so I finally convinced Nick to come over to the Kindergarten track. This was adorable. I loved watching the brothers run together. They had a great time! In the end, they each did 30 laps!
Charby had to keep herself
entertained!!!
Playing with the layout
Hey.. I am trying to figure out how to change the
layout.. Sorry for the craziness.. I will get it corrected soon!

For Old Friends
Lately I have been addicted to facebook. I wanted to
post a family picture and explain who everyone is for
those friends that are catching up... From left to right..
Nick, Shelley, Luke, Laura and Charlotte or as we call
her Charby. Shelley is a teacher and is sporting his summer/vacation look.
I kinda dared him not to cut his hair all summer. It is less fluffy now...;)
